Learn how to look after hedgehogs, the dangers they face and the good they do in our gardens. See one up close and then compare them to other species from around the world in our new exhibition area.
Pets Corner
Hold a rabbit or guinea pig or a mouse or maybe even a chinchilla or ferret! Find out what they need to live and how to look after them.
Wildlife Garden
Visit the Wildlife Garden where you can see special plants which you might have in your garden which attract insects, bugs, butterflies and birds. We might see tadpoles, frogs and toads in the pond.
Big Barn Education Centre
Feed lambs (depends on time of year), Feed goats, Groom a pony and see what baby animals we have in the nursery area.
Outdoor Play area Have fun in the play area where there are also benches if you wish to have your picnic. If it’s wet don’t worry you can have lunch inside.
Hogglet’s Coffee Shop.
Hot and cold drinks available and packed lunches if required.
Spikes' Gift Shop
We stock a wide variety of pocket money gifts for the children such as rubbers, pencils, cuddly hedgehogs or more exciting gifts for the adults!
Exploration quiz.
If you still have spare time we can give you a quiz sheet for the children to explore the park to find the answers!
If you have any special requests to coincide with your school topics do let us know and we can include that in your visit.
